The term “’photography” is used to encompass all content created by RE:SHOOT. A RE:SHOOT “photographer” is applicable to a RE:SHOOT videographer, graphic designer, 3D modeller, or script writer, and the applicable noun variants.
It is the client and home owner's responsibility to have the home in photo-ready condition prior to the RE:SHOOT photographer arriving. The RE:SHOOT photographer will shoot the home "as-is". This means that he/she may make minor adjustments to improve the shot, but will not make significant changes to the layout of the home or clean the property (see do’s and don't is PDF doc we send once shoot has been confirmed). the RE:SHOOT photographer arrives on location at the decided time, and the house is in no state to be photographed, he/she may contact the client informing them of them of the state of the property and the need to reschedule. A $50 rescheduling fee will apply.
The RE:SHOOT photographer will engage the property shoot with his/her best practice, unless otherwise requested. This means that the RE:SHOOT photographer will capture shots that showcase the property rooms, property features in the style that is respective of the training he/she has received by RE:SHOOT.
If particular shots are required by the client (such as specific detail shots), the client must indicate these to the RE:SHOOT photographer either in email/text beforehand or onsite verbally. The RE:SHOOT photographer must keep in mind allotted time slots and package allocations (amount of photographs requested), so the requests must be within reason and be appropriate to the property being shot.
If the request is not relayed to the RE:SHOOT photographer and the desired shots are not captured, the client is liable to schedule a reshoot (see reshoots, cancellations and refunds below).
The RE:SHOOT photographer will aim to get everything correct during the shoot, but sometimes ‘photoshopping’ is required to correct certain items that may have an adverse effect on the way the property is viewed. However, RE:SHOOT will not misrepresent the property. Misrepresentation, in this instance, can be defined as being something that is not within possible grounds of reality when a potential purchaser visits the property – ie: is reasonable to assume that this occurrence could not happen without the assistance of computer software. RE:SHOOT reserves the right to make a judgement call on whether or not the photoshop request is outside the grounds of misrepresentation.
Examples of misrepresentation are: changing the colour of the property. hiding any damage done to property, or creating green grass where dirt is currently.
Some examples of what we will do are: removal of items that appear in shot, such as a car, blurring of faces in photo frames, adding fire to an empty fireplace.
Photoshopping of items are charged to the client at a rate of $50/per hour. Please note that this rate is not applied to our standard photo edit, which includes a sky replacement (if required). RE:SHOOT will only accept the engagement if the request to photoshop is reasonable. Currently, we do not offer virtual staging so are unable to service these requests.
RESHOOTS, REFUNDS, AND CANCELLATIONS
It is rare for a client to want to get a property reshot. When a client requires a RE:SHOOT photographer to reshoot the property, RE:SHOOT separates the reason for a reshoot into two streams.
If the clients rationale for a reshoot is something that falls under the remit of RE:SHOOT photographer, such as missing particular shots or angles of the home, failing to adhere to the reasonable requests of the client (see requests section), photographer gear failure, and any other incidences where it can be otherwise identified that the RE:SHOOT photographer has not done a job to the best of his/her ability, then RE:SHOOT will offer the client a reshoot to either capture the required shots or reshoot the entire home(when required), charging travel costs to cover petrol (if relevant).
If the client requires a reshoot due to any reason that is the responsibility or fault of the client or homeowner, such as dissatisfaction with the photographs (if they are up to the usual standard of RE:SHOOT), excessive clutter in the home (see dos and don’ts in the tips and tricks guide, found here), the photographer having to leave due to safety reasons on the property (animals, violence), and any other reason that could have been prevented that falls under the responsibility or fault of the homeowner or client, then RE:SHOOT will offer the client a reshoot at half the price of the original shoot, as well as charging travel costs to cover petrol (if relevant).
If a client is dissatisfied with the photographs and does not wish to get the property reshot by a RE:SHOOT photographer, RE:SHOOT reserves the right to terminate our engagement with the client, offering a full refund. In these instances, the client must cease all use of the photographs or other content created by RE:SHOOT under that particular engagement. If the client is found to be in breach of this, and are using the photos or content without the permission of RE:SHOOT, RE:SHOOT reserves the right to seek legal advise and take appropriate action.
If, for any reason, the client is unable to keep their scheduled appointment, RE:SHOOT requires at least 24 hours notice so RE:SHOOT can reschedule you at a more appropriate time and open your time slot to others. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a $50 cancellation fee. This is authorised at the discretion of the RE:SHOOT photographer.
The only cause for a shoot to be postponed will be bad weather. The client will not incur any charge if a postponement is agreed to by both the client and the photographer. RE:SHOOT photographers can and will shoot property in all weather conditions except heavy rain, extreme wind or hail. RE:SHOOT photographers can still photograph in light rain, if timed right. RE:SHOOT reserves the right to make the final judgement call on whether or not the property will be shot on that particular day.

The turnaround times are different for each respective package
Same day: RE:RUN&GUN package
Two working days: RE:PHOTO packages, RE:AERIAL packages
Five working days: RE:FILM packages
RE:SHOOT will strive to send their content packages to clients before the above dates, however, we cannot guarantee this. So, a RE:PHOTO package booked for Thursday morning might not arrive til Monday!
The client accepts that all necessary rights, model releases or consents which may be required for reproduction of people, places or items depicted within any works, are obtained by RE:SHOOT through the undertaking of work. RE:SHOOT shall be only responsible for obtaining such clearances if this has been expressly agreed in writing before the shoot. In all other cases the client shall indemnify RE:SHOOT against all expenses, damages, claims and legal costs arising out of any failure to obtain such clearances. RE:SHOOT will not be liable for any loss or damage, for any consequential loss of profit or income should this arise.
PHOTO RIGHTS AND USAGE
All content taken of and created for a property is owned by RE:SHOOT. The paying client is granted license to utilise the content created by RE:SHOOT to market the property for sale, using mediums such as online advertising, MLS (multi-listing service), social media, printed advertisements and signboards. This license does not extend to a third party. The usage of the photos by a third party, including (but not limited to) architects, builders, stagers, designers, sellers or buyers, is prohibited unless approved in writing by RE:SHOOT. This license extends to print and media, such as newspapers, magazines, news articles and blogs, as long as RE:SHOOT is credited as owning the image, and the content is not used to sell a product or service other than RE:SHOOT Ltd.
RE:SHOOT reserves the right to use or sell the photographs. Exclusivity will not be unreasonably withheld but only on written agreement with RE:SHOOT before work commences.
RE:SHOOT operates on an invoicing system. Once the work has been completed and to a standard that meets the clients expectations, the client will receive an invoice amounting to the cost of the package purchased. All invoices have a 14 day payment time frame, unless otherwise requested. Late fees may apply at the discretion of RE:SHOOT amounting to 20% of the cost of the shoot, applied in increments every 14 days.
Unless the client has requested a RE:AERIAL video package, RE:SHOOT will never hand out RAW files to the client. The captured RAW files are always property of RE:SHOOT.
RE:SHOOT keeps all shoots confidential. RE:SHOOT and the RE:SHOOT photographer will not disclose to any third parties or make use of information communicated to them in confidence for the purpose of the content creation, save as may be reasonably necessary to enable RE:SHOOT to carry out his/her obligations in relation to the work. Examples being neighbours who are interested in which property is about to be listed.
